  • Is very similar to Typha orientalis which is an introduced species. Typha domingensis has more slender leaves and thinner seed heads.
  • The leaves have been used in weaving chair bottoms and mats.
  • Seed count per inflorescence 450,000, with a viability of 50% (Chambers, 1995)
